Following two attacks on swimmers, Australian officials captured and shot three tiger sharks in the Whitsunday Islands region, a popular tourist destination near the Great Barrier Reef. The tiger shark diet is made up of fish, mollusks, crustaceans, sea turtles, seabirds and even mammals such as the dugong. Tiger sharks are very aggressive, and if they feel threatened, they’ll attack.

This is the case in many, if not most, cases of tiger shark attacks on humans. Although these species rarely bite humans. Tiger sharks have an enormous appetite and can eat almost anything they find in their path.
