Far enough for a getaway, but close enough to home, Deception Pass State Park offers many opportunities to take some great pictures of dramatic scenery. Deception Pass Bridge is a beautiful landmark and it's worth it to stop here and take in the view. There are sidewalks on either side of the bridge to look around Deception Pass Park. The Fidalgo Island side has a handful of pullouts, and the Whidbey Island side has a large parking lot with bathrooms and a mounted map with information. But this park more than earned its spot at the top.
