This Minecraft tutorial explains how to craft a soul torch with screenshots and step-by-step instructions.

In Minecraft, the soul torch is a new type of torch that was introduced in the Nether Update. It has a lower light level than the standard torch, but it can be used to scare away piglins. There are two recipes to make a torch.

To make a torch, place 1 coal/charcoal and 1 stick in the 3x3 crafting grid. When used to make a torch you get a blue Soul Fire Torch and that can be made into a blue Soul Fire Lantern. Add Items to make a Torch. The first recipe uses 1 stick and 1 coal and the second recipe uses 1 stick and 1 charcoal. New in Minecraft 1.16 is Soul Soil found in Soul Soil Valley which will burn blue when on fire. In the crafting menu, you should see a crafting area that is made up of a 3x3 crafting grid. 2. The mod by itself on 1.15.2 works just fine, but when I add the rest of my mods, a coal/charcoal on a stick always crafts Vanilla Torches, and adding a Glowstone Crystal and a stick into the crafting table does nothing. Both recipes will create 4 torches at a time. You can pick up the torch again by "breaking" it, or by breaking the block attached to the torch. Move the torch to your quick slot, select it, and click the ground or wall. A torch can go on any solid, opaque surface, and will burn indefinitely. But when I updated everything (all my mods, forge and Minecraft) up to 1.15.2, there's something that's conflicting with the torch recipe. I show you how, including the crafting recipe for each. Place torches on floors or walls.
